Most probably fragment of a monastic antiphonal. This can be concluded on the basis of the rubric transmitted on the recto: In IIo No (secundo nocturno), followed by the incipit of an antiphon (Alleluia) with six psalms. In the office manuscripts following the ritus saecularis the Dominica Pentecostes is provided with one nocturn at Matins, therefore this text would have no relevance.
The mother codex is almost certainly not of Hungarian origin: the notation suggests that it originated in the German-speaking area. A more precise definition of provenance requires further research.
